Q&A

What does a day at work at HCA look like for you?

I work closely with customers as well as our own departments and colleagues. As a result, I want to ensure that I maintain good relationships with colleagues and customers. Every morning, I first look at my agenda to see what appointments I have planned and check my emails and messages. I look at what is most urgent and divide my work accordingly. In the meetings with my colleagues, we look at how we can best meet the customer's needs. In addition, I also have many direct appointments and contact moments with our customers, where I want to offer them the best service. To do this and best arrange what the customer wants, I have to communicate, discuss, explain and even negotiate well, so that we can make a decision that works best for the customers and us.

 

What role does responsibility play in your daily responsibilities?

Responsibility is very important in my daily work because I want to provide the best services to all stakeholders, not only customers but also our internal departments. But I experience the most responsibility in making sure our customers are satisfied. I am responsible for making sure that the customer feels heard, that there is good communication between and with our customers so that we can build and maintain a good relationship. I am also responsible for good coordination and communication with related departments such as our production, lab and shipping.

 

How do you promote this responsibility and trust in each other?

I promote responsibility through good communication with colleagues and by building trust in each other. I think it is important for everyone to share their opinions, think along and give feedback to each other. This communication shows what we expect from each other, and this allows everyone to take responsibility. I believe that if we all do this, there is trust in each other which leads to being able to work together well and responsibly.

 

What makes responsibility so important?

Humans are social beings which means we can’t work individually while we have common goals to be achieved. We must work together to achieve our common goals. Each of us must have our own responsibilities to achieve those goals and I am sure that if we are aware of our own responsibilities, we will do our best to achieve the goals.

How do you experience the atmosphere?

We are experiencing growth as we transform into a large international company. I appreciate that the good and trusted atmosphere among colleagues is being maintained throughout this process. Despite this, it is an exciting time in which we, as a company and as employees, can showcase ourselves.
